Age
- Whole blood: 16 - 69
- Apheresis - plasma: 17 - 69
- Apheresis - platelets, plasma platelets : 17 - 59
Body weight
- Male: over 50kg
- Female: over 45kg
Health check-up
- Blood pressure: systolic 90-179mmHg, diastolic less than 100mmHg
- Body temperature: 37.5℃ or less
- Pulse: 50~100(times/minute)
Donation interval
- Whole blood donation: 8 weeks
- Apheresis donation - plasma, platelets and plasma platelets: 14 days
Maximum number of donations
- Whole blood donation: 5 times within 1 year
- Platelet apheresis, Plasma-platelet apheresis: 24 times within 1 year
Disease
- You must wait for a certain period after full recovery from infectious or other diseases
Medications
- Psoriasis medication: eligible 3 years after last dose (permanently deferred for specific medication)
- Prostatic hypertrophy treatment: eligible 4 weeks or 6 months after last dose
- Alopecia treatment: eligible 4 weeks after last dose
- Acne treatment: eligible 4 weeks after last dose
- Eligible after a certain period of time after taking medication not accepted for blood donations
Vaccinations
- Eligible 24 hours after Influenza, Hepatitis A, and Japanese Encephalitis (inactivated vaccine) vaccinations
- Eligible 2 weeks after hepatitis B vaccination
- Eligible 4 weeks after Measles, Mumps, Rubella (MMR) mixed Vaccine, and Chickenpox vaccinations.
Treatment
- Eligible 1 year after receiving blood transfusion
- Eligible after a certain period of time after receiving other treatment
Test results
- Previous test results should be negative (Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, Syphilis, etc.)
Overseas travel
- Eligible 4 weeks after date of return
Other
- You can only particiapte in blood donation if donor questionnaire shows you are eligible
- You must have a valid ID card to participate in donation
